- Keep all your shapes polygons, no curves. Seems obvious, right?
- The more detail there is, the smaller your polygons should be.
- Try to use as few sides as possible. In most cases you can get away with simple triangles.
- Your color pallet is simplified, but still use darks and lights to define highlights and shadows.
Don’t worry too much about color as you’re creating your polygons. If you create ‘global’ colors they’ll be easy to individually change. You can always use the recolor tool to change them when you’re done.
