Me

My name is Denise Wawrzyniak. I am a graphic designer during the day and work at an association for Emergency Nurses. I love knowing my work supports such a great profession. I’m very mission driven like that!

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my husband and two Keeshonds, in my garden, or working on one of the many creative passion projects that you’ll find here.

I’m inspired by nature, the subjects of my work are typically botanical and insects. Lots of flowers and good bugs!

LadybirdDee

Wondering where the name LadybirdDee came from? My maiden last name is Johnson. As a little girl my maternal grandmother would often refer to myself or my sisters as “Lady Birds,” after the first lady Claudia (Lady Bird) Johnson. “Dee” is just short for Denise. Hence the name LadybirdDee… it stuck with me.
